A birth doula empowers you by working with you prenatally to help you gain knowledge of the birth process, help with birth planning, and as an advocate for you. A birth doula will then provide continuous support during your labor by offering emotional and physical support. The doula is there to be a team player along with your healthcare provider and any other support people you have chosen to be by your side on this special day.
